Piedmont Park Proposal and Engagement

Eric did an amazing job at discreetly planning his Piedmont Park proposal to Kat. She had no idea he was going to ask her to marry him that day and she definitely did not expect all the effort he put into making it happen!

When Eric contacted me he explained to me that they had been dating for quite a while, 11 years actually! And he was finally ready to pop the question. He wanted to propose with a romantic picnic complete with champagne, roses and a guitarist right in the middle of Piedmont Park. There was no way I was missing this!

I am not going to lie, I was counting down the days for this proposal! When the day finally came I almost could not contain myself. I was in contact with Eric that morning to make sure everything went perfectly. Imagine my pleasant surprise when I got the message back from him that read, “She is being pampered right now and I don’t think she suspects a thing!” What? Eric totally thought of everything when he planned this special day!

She said yes!

I almost had to pinch myself when everything went exactly as planned. I was positioned pretty far away with the guitarist as to not give away the surprise. But when Eric dropped to his knee, Kat’s reaction was everything. There were tears and laughter from both of them and maybe even a little from me.

After Kat had a moment to catch her breath her surprise wasn’t over, Eric had arranged an immediate engagement session! This is my favorite part! The joy and happiness that I captured is genuine! I can truly see why Kat and Eric make the perfect couple.

I seriously can not be any happier for these two and this new chapter in their lives. And I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them! Thank you Kat and thank you Eric for allowing me to capture this part of your story.
