at The Barn at Big Oak

Alissa and Charlie’s big day at The Barn at Big Oak located in Franklin GA could not have been more perfect for them. This venue is situated well off the beaten path and where you least expect, it opens up into the most charming and unique venue. It perfectly complimented Alissa and Charlie’s rustic, burgundy and navy wedding.

When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find Alissa so calm and happy. This girl had no wedding day jitters at all! And when I met everyone else it became so clear why. She had the best group of women supporting her and even lifting her up in prayer. It was absolutely beautiful to witness.

Then came time for me to meet Charlie… He was so full of energy and just happy to be there. Even better, he LOVED taking photos! He was a total natural! And his groomsmen were just as fun to photograph. They all had such a good sense of humor and had me laughing the whole time.

But the best part of the day came during the ceremony

Their pastor told the story of how Alissa and Charlie came to be. Their romance began on a mission in Guatemala. He told everyone how Alissa and Charlie are so different in many ways. Alissa is more reserved and Charlie is not so much. He explained that he did not think much of their relationship at first but as time went on it became clear to him that their differences made them perfect for each other.

Hearing their story really made me love this couple so much more than I already did. Who knew that was even possible? My heart is so happy that they chose me to capture this special day for them. Alissa and Charlie, I can not wait to see what the future has in store for your marriage and I wish you both the absolute best!
